The Dragons split the match with the Swathers. "The girls kept fighting until the final inning. Was a hard fought battle for both teams and Hesston edged us in the first game 9 to 8. In the second game Hesston took the lead in the 7th inning before Halstead fought back with a line drive up the middle to score two and take the victory 6 to 5. That left the Lady Dragons at 5-1 on the season." Said Coach Wilson. I am proud at the comeback of the ladies.

What does one do with a 120 dozen boiled eggs? That's simple, sponsor Halstead's biggest Easter egg hunt! The Halstead Lions club had a fun time hiding all those eggs and the 200 children that showed up had fun hunting all the eggs. Enjoy the photo journal. Parents if you would like a picture of your child, just email us and it will be mailed to. Courtesy Halstead Lions Club & HalsteadKansas.com webmaster@HalsteadKansas.com

Nickerson Kansas Last nights first game versus Nickerson was exciting for the girls. They came out in the first inning and took a 1-0 lead and never looked back from that point. Winning the first game, and the first ever game against Nickerson in seven innings 5 to 1. In the second game we rallied from a 2 run deficit to eventually take the lead and then both teams were in a standoff at 6 to 6 from the 6 inning until the top of the 10th inning when the Lady Dragons ripped three doubles and scored three runs to win the ball game 9 to 6 in 10 innings. The Lady Dragons are 4-0 with the rest of the week off before Hesston comes to town on Tuesday and then traveling to Collegiate on Friday.
Go Lady Dragon!

Carnegie Hall "Practice Makes Perfect"

The trip to NYC was not a vacation. Students practiced for hours prior to the performance. Mr. Rutter is a perfectionist, he worked the kids just like professional singers. This experience is a once in a life time opportunity, said Ron Chronister, Choir Director Halstead High School.
